Dr. Amanda Munoz
Dr. Amanda Muñoz grew up in Santa Clarita and always knew she wanted to be a vet. She earned her Bachelors's degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and went on to graduate with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with Honors from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.
Upon graduating from veterinary school, she pursued an internship at Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital, where she gained experience in small animal and exotics general practice and emergency. Throughout her years of experience in veterinary medicine, she has developed a passion for veterinary internal medicine, surgery, and emergency/critical care medicine and loves the challenge that comes with working up to more complex cases.
She plans to pursue additional training to become more versed in integrative and holistic medicine including acupuncture in the future. Outside of work, her hobbies include singing, dancing, knitting and crocheting (among other crafts), plants, traveling, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her family, including her 2 cats and 3 dogs.
Dr. Muñoz loves seeing all her furry and scaly patients including small mammal exotics and reptiles and is excited to be a part of the Valencia Veterinary Center team!
