As fun as a new kitten or puppy may be, there are also a number of serious health matters which need to be taken care of over the course of their first year.

Your Pet’s First Appointment

Puppies should have their first veterinary appointment around 6 weeks old. Kittens should have theirs at about 8 weeks. 

During your initial veterinary visit, your new pet will receive a complete physical exam in order to determine its overall health. Your vet will also keep an eye out for signs of congenital defects and parasites.

Follow-up Appointments
